Dubai was a piece of flat featureless ugly sandland. Of course it has no choice but to build build build itself into existence and put itself on the map. That I understand. But? when it’s growing faster even than Shanghai or Beijing, now that’s a bit crazy. May be its a gd thing it has to rein itself bk a little.
Dubai has it’s ups and downs, It’s abit too fancy but I personally think construction has played it role here and its moved on, all the buildings here that were delayed are now finished while other 4-5 storey construction? sites are simply abandoned, to give you an example, I live next to what used to be 50 construction sites, now nearly all are done yet there are some projects that are simply abandoned, imagine driving by a large concrete hole, filled with dirty water and dug up holes everywhere
the only solution is to manufacture cars that does not run on oil. It is just surprising. man already got the technology of going outerspace yet cannot manufacture vehicles run not by oil. that is the only way to humble this extravagance. HHO cars should be? mass produced at once. Hope someone can pierce that political oil issue.
what these rich asshole fale to see, is if your are paying your people pennies, your are basing all your earnings on tourist, cuz your people cant afford living there or eating there on the 1.00 a day wages your payen, they want to be the next NY, well it will be a cold day in hell b4 that happends, NY is in USA and our track record? is much better than the middle east, most people are afraid to visit there anyway.
I don’t understand how people think Dubai is in a state of emergency, The government ALWAYS has enough money to bail Dubai out. Its like a sand castle, every once and a while? a wave comes and ruins it, but all you have to do is start over again, they have the time and they have the money.

Low income, bad housing, no proper healthcare plan.
But it? is better than where they came from. They could have worked in the any other country they had they choice, they knew that the pay wasn’t good I’m sure they know Dubai’s reputation but it was still better than staying back at there country where they would have starved.

1 more thing, if you do to prison because of debt how come the countries? rulers dont go to prison, i dont think anyone in that country has racked up more than 80 billion

I agree. I was there and two of my brothers works in Abu Dhabi. The wealth is insane. but there is a huge poverty ratio as well. Both my brothers are making a fortune and one of them doesnt think it would last but? he reckons he might as well get as much out of it as possible anyway
